Recently I moved into an older fixer-upper home in Utah. I loved the architecture of the house, it was beautiful. It made remodeling the house really easy. I had the biggest problem with the bathroom remodeling. I started looking at different photos of bathrooms. The more ideas I had of each bathroom the more I hated the design. The bathroom didn t match the other rooms of the house. We needed both a shower and bath on the main floor. My husband and I never anticipated that it would be so hard to come up with ideas that worked for us. Bathroom remodeling is hard especially if working on a budget. It was as if we needed a bathroom design team that you see on HGTV to help us find a design that was functional and fit our style and the style of the house.

After weeks of looking at photos browse and different vanities, we finally settled on a design that worked well for us. The bath was an old porcelain claw tub. My grandma used to have one in her bathroom, so it was a must in our bathroom remodeling. Our design had an antique vibe, but was contemporary. We decided to add two sinks in the master bath. This idea was given to us by our bathroom remodeling contractors. It added value to our bathroom. In the middle of the sinks, we had a vanity that any women would die for. The ideas for this came from HGTV photos. There was plenty of counter space and a seat to sit in.

The biggest problem I had with bathroom remodeling was agreeing with my husband. Bathroom makeovers are always a team effort. We knew that a bathroom could potentially add a lot of value to a home. They needed to be versatile, be searched for bathroom design ideas and request from potential buyers. Even though we weren t planning on selling our house, we needed to have our bathroom remodeling design to be beneficial to the house. The bathrooms also needed to flow with the other rooms. I was happy with the end product that we had with our bathroom remodel, but we did go over budget. I wish we could browse some more, and listened better to our bathroom remodeling contractors. They had experience with bathroom remodeling, and knew what ideas and design would work.

Bathroom remodeling doesn t always have to be stressful. Gather your ideas and make sure you are one the same page with everyone. There are a lot of bathroom design ideas. Browse various photos; HGTV had a lot of good designs. Don t remodel your bathroom with only you in mind. Make sure it s an upgrade and adds value to your house. Get bathrooms remodeling contractors with experience. If not they could damage your bathroom and cause problems in the future. A bathroom remodel also puts you out. There were times where we couldn t shower and had to bath. Make sure you have other bath plans if you need. Bathroom remodeling is fun, to pick out the sinks and toilets it can be entertaining to look at the weird bathroom designs that are out there. Most importantly remember that your bathroom design should be functional for everyone, but it is your design. Do what you want with it, just make sure it has resale value
